Interactive Fountain

The Holler Fountain is the centerpiece of the Stetson University campus. Using Arduino, MaxMSP, and the power of electricity, we turned the fountain and anyone who touched it into an instrument. By touching one of the blinking boxes and putting a hand in the water, you would complete a circuit and trigger a note and a light. We used the pentatonic scale, which would give us one note per each of the five boxes and orbs. This would simplify the instrument for non-musicians and allow for ethereal sounding compositions.
